The end is nigh!

I'm round the final bend sprinting towards the finish line.    You WILL have a completed quilt top from me by the end of the month Chookster...... come Hell or high water.

I've been sewing like fury.   I'm off on retreat on Friday for a week.  Now I know I could take NJ with me and finish it there but I really want to have it all done and dusted before I leave.   This is how it looked last night......

Have to admit I'm embarrassed at how much I can get done when I stop pratting about and get down to some serious sewing.   The girls had the benefit of seeing me 'at it' yesterday and boy were they impressed gobsmacked.   Humm.... think they are going to expect more of me from here on in.
Shot myself in the foot I think.....

I made a little more progress this morning.....

the next border is ready to attach.  Maybe tonight.   Do you want to hear something stupid.   I took ages arrange the squares into rows.... two rows beginning with a light fabric and two with a dark. How I fussed over that.   It wasn't until I put the finished rows back on the table that I realised they are all identical and whether they start with a light or dark depends on how you turn them!     DUH!!
Back to quilt school for me!

Right.... I'd better get a move on.   Can't afford to sit still and gather dust today...

Have a great time sewing.....
Hugs
Josie

Full steam ahead for you Josie _ I am having similar fun with my long strips - lucky you have a table long enough to spread them out..
