In the nick of time ...

I was so sure there were a couple more days left in April, even though I finished stitching my blocks a couple of weeks ago and put the borders on over a week ago, I have been cruising along thinking I had plenty of time left in the month.

There are some lovely blocks being made in this Stitch-A-Long, I can hardly wait to see the quilts when they are all finished.

Now....I promised Chooky that I'd be good....because the 'W' word was mentioned....LOL!!

Once the 'whip' word was mentioned I thought I should get a wiggle on! Lol! I had the stitcheries completed and only had to add the borders, which I did this arvo whilst bopping to a bit of Abba!

The end is near!

I am almost there!! This is all I have left to stitch and then I can piece my blocks together!
I am hoping to finish tonight - wish me luck. Then I can stitch the blocks when I get off work!! I am so excited. I can see "Tis the Season" stitching in my near future - maybe I will even get caught up!

Easter stitching

I kept myself occupied over Easter by working on my Stitch-a-long
these are my first two blocks
as i didn't receive my book till about a week before easter

They smell a little smoky from being around the camp fire
but what a special memory that is

My girls like the block with the blue border the best

can't wait to see it all together

hope you are all enjoying your stitching

4,5 and 6 Blocks Done!

Yay....its not the end of April yet and I have finished blocks 4, 5 and 6 for the Tis The Season.
Everyones blocks are looking soooo good and I am loving everyones choice of border fabrics too. They are all looking really good :)

Hugs to all Vicki from The Pickledish Patch.

Finished all my blocks!

I've finished all the blocks for the main quilt for Tis the Season.

Here's the photo:

Now to add the last two borders - and then the quilting, of course!!  I'm hoping to repeat the stitcheries and use them to make some of the smaller projects and I'll be able to contribute to my Christmas stash!

These were so much fun to make!

April blocks

Here are my April blocks just in time as another month is nearly over. They have been fun to stitch and so much easier to manage than my other BOMs. I fear I have taken on too much but plan to keep up with this one.
Happy stitching
Sylvia

My blocks so far...

Wow some of you have been super fast stitchers!

I'm about 1/2 way there. I've decided to stitch all of my blocks before adding the borders and putting the whole quilt together.

My background fabric is cream with little white flowers. I think I measured it correctly - well I hope so anyways otherwise I'll be on the hunt for more background fabric ;-)

I have to say that going on a long drive, and having someone else drive, makes for excellent stitching time. My DH did most of the driving between our trip from home (just south of Sydney) to Melbourne (around 900km each way). These little lovelies are the perfect travel sized stitching items.

And for anyone who may have missed my earlier post, here's my brush with fame and the actual Tis the Season quilt experience. Wish I'd taken a better photo of it - and maybe one with the designer.

Happy Stitching Everyone xoxo

April Blocks

Here are my April blocks. I'm really happy that I am keeping up with the schedule and have my next months blocks traced out ready for stitching.

Below are my blocks laid out with the fabrics I have chosen to use with future blocks. Of course I may change this around when all the blocks are completed.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter and got lots of stitching done. Cheers till next time.......

Noela.

Stitching finished!

I have managed to finish stitching all my blocks! These eleven, plus the three blocks I have previously finished means I have stitched 14 blocks all up. I have found them to be such fun. Any moment now I will border these and put the quilt together. Well, possibly not any moment. Mid May probably. I have plans for the next two weeks. I have a second lot of stitcheries traced out in case I feel the urge to stitch. Happy stitching!!!

Having Fun in Ferndale

Good evening,

Here are the latest blocks for SAL - I'm having SO much fun stitching these!

The fabric choices probably seem a little weird, but it'll make sense when you see these all together with my March blocks.

The blocks look a little wonky, but they're actually square.  I'll have a better board to display them on when I snap my May photos.

Take care!
Elisa

March done

Two more blocks done, meaning I'm on track again.

Should be able to make two more before April turns to May.

BTW got this brand new toy.

Are we gonna have fun this Easter ;-))

Happy Easter to all of you.
